What do you think?

In Hole in my Life, Jack’s family moves a lot. At the beginning of this book, Jack’s family moves to a place where he can’t go to school and he doesn’t speak the language. What do you think of that? What do you think of Jack’s parents? How do you think most kids would fare with no education, no supervision, and no roots?

I think that they are stupid because their son will never have an education, and if he doesn't speak the language then he won't have any friends so he will be all alone. I also think that his parents should home school him or something.

I think that his parents aren't good because they're not taking care of their son. I think that most kids would feel left out and not wanted because his parents don't act like he's their son. They might turn into a bad kid because there's no supervision and no education then they wouldn't know good from bad.

I think that it's good for Jack's education in a way because he will learn a little bit of another language but on the other hand it is not good beacuse he won't get a good education if he doesn't go to school.

I think that Jack's parents aren't very smart for moving somewhere where their son can't get an education so I don't think that they care about their son's education.

I think that Jack would end up making bad choices in life, causing mischief, do drugs, be a little punk and be stupid because he wouldn't have an education and he doesn't have anybody to show him they actually care about him.

I think that Jack's parents have a responsibility to do right by him. They have the responsibility to assure he can get a proper education. Moving to a place where this education is not possible gives Jack very little chance of getting a proper education and send the message to Jack that his education is not important to them.

It is also very important, as parents, to properly support and supervise your children. Jack's parents seem to believe differently on this issue. Allowing Jack to live by any rules he chooses may seem like a cool thing to Jack at first but he will likely quickly understand that having no rules or boundaries in his life is really more scary than it is cool. I feel bad for Jack!

I think that is messed up if you send a kid to school that he doesn’t know how to speak Spanish. I think they should put him in a school that his language is spoken. If he doesn’t speak Spanish then you should teach the kid. If you can’t teach then keep him out of school.

I think that Jack’s parents are idiots because they sent him to a school with kids that speak Spanish. They should of taught him Spanish before he goes to the school with kids that speak Spanish. They could of sent him to a school that teaches Spanish for people that speak different languages.
