Great Kids

Thank you to all of the great kids who have been spending their spare time helping in the library: Zach, Nidhi, Tyler, Monique, Lauren, Cassie, Tiana, Diane, Ben, Yelena, and Alina have been learning to shelve books, make displays, process library materials and more! They have been a huge help while my arm is in a cast, and I have enjoyed their company.

Great Stories

We have applied for an American Library Association Great Stories Club grant! If we get it, Linda Singer & Robin Shtulman will be sharing some very exciting book club sessions with the students in our Bridges program. We should hear back from the ALA in about a month. Wish us luck!

Blood and Guts

Mark your calendars! On Friday, April 4th, from 6-8 p.m., the Library, PE, Science, and Health programs will be partnering with Franklin Medical Center and the GCC Nursing School to bring you “Blood and Guts!” This will be a free and fun hands-on program at which students and their families will get to learn about the human body, perform surgery, learn about emergency room work, and more. There will be snacks and prizes! Full details will follow closer to the date.
